Miracle Tree Care’s founder has lived in a large city for most of his life. As someone who enjoys nature and fishing , his dream to move to the country, into a house with a nice big yard, and close to some good fishing spots was finally realized . His old city lot had a lawn, a couple of trees, some hedges and a small vegetable garden. To keep it looking good, once a year he, like others in the neighborhood, headed out to the local garden center to pick up a bag of “feed-n-weed”, “zap-a-grub” and some “magic-insect-vanquish” for the tomato plants. They went home, filled the hopper, and sprinkled the lawn to resemble a fresh coating of hail. Okay…. Not everyone did that ...and most people actually read the label and application rates, …. right?

But when people do read the label, what goes through their minds, as they come across the words: “Danger”, “Caution”, “Warning” or “Keep Out of Reach of Children” or even ”Hazards to Human and Domestic Animals”? What about “Environmental Hazards” and these words “This Product is Toxic to Fish”.? What goes through your mind when you read these words?

There was concern, since his new lawn was far bigger than the old one, it therefore would require greater amounts of these traditional chemicals. The water was provided by a well and seeping chemicals became an obvious problem as well. He began to research ways to reduce or eliminate the need for chemicals that could have negative side effects to the environment.

The next step was to figure out the best strategy to:

Use less or preferably no chemicals

Reduce the time and money spent on maintenance

Make it look good and enjoyable

Make it sustainable

Spend more time with his family, friends and his new dog “Bagel”

And go fishing….
